Lacy for her one-day class, “Pitching Story Ideas to Editors & Producing What You Promised.” How do you get an editor to say “yes” to your story idea? Do you have great ideas that you want to see online or in print? This class will offer practical advice on how to sell story ideas to newspapers and magazines. You will receive tips on how to get started, how to write a story query, what to charge and how to make the most of your freelance opportunities.The class is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 5 from Central Carolina Community College in Pittsboro, NC.
